Tourism: A Double Sided Coin

Sustainable Tourism

"Sustainable Tourism" provides an overview of issues in the SEA tourism industry, from the loss of authenticity in street food to unsustainable carbon emissions. The team proposes an app called Street Bite as a solution to these problems. The app has an in-built smart itinerary planner that caters to the user while helping them reduce their carbon footprint, as well as a feature to find or review hawker stalls. The app, while in its infancy, is a powerful reminder that as technology becomes more accessible and we grow more dependent on new softwares, our traditions need to adapt so that future generations have the chance to enjoy them like we did.
