When Tradition Meets modernity

“When Tradition Meets Modernity” explores the multifaceted impact globalisation has on Southeast Asia. For Southeast Asia, modernisation ushers in a new age of increased accessibility to global trade at the cost of the erosion of age-old cultural values. The main purpose of the project is to challenge the assumption that modernity cannot be embraced without the expense of traditional identity. Overall, the piece calls to not view modernity and tradition as antagonistic but mutually beneficial in honouring heritage with technology. How will Southeast Asia's future look like as the vibrant colours of its past infuse with globalisation?
